Information display settings

You can choose what information appears in the Network tree using the Tree display settings menu on the Network tree toolbar.

For example, if you set hostnames as node names, select IP addresses for the additional field, and enable the Show number of assets in groups option, the Network tree will look like this:

Both node names and additional field values are used when searching the Network tree.

Network node names

Select which identifier to display as the main node name in the Network tree.

When the hostname display is set to Alias, you can rename hosts using the Rename context menu item or by pressing F2. This automatically updates the host alias. Alternatively, you can edit the alias directly in Network Host Properties.

Additional field

An additional property can be displayed alongside every node in the Network tree. This value is selected from the same list of properties as the node name.

If IP addresses are set as node names and a node has a Static IP address property, a gray lock icon appears after the IP address. If IP addresses are set as the additional field, a blue lock icon appears before the IP address.

Sorting the nodes

The Sorting section allows you to select your sorting criteria. Nodes can be sorted either by their names or by their additional field values, with an option to reverse the sorting order.

Number of assets in groups

When Show number of assets in groups is enabled, the total count of assets is displayed in parentheses to the right of each group title.
