Map allows to build a demonstrative diagram of your network, to group the computers not only into groups but also to arrange them topographically, to show all the variety of interconnections between network devices.
To go to network map display choose option Map view in the main menu View.

By using main or shortcut menu, available with right-click you can both Add new group and view property of the existing one (the group should be chosen before it):

Click twice on any group to go to the device presentation level.

Now you can edit interconnections between certain devices marked in red on the diagram.

You can add new liaison by three methods:

  • leftside on the toolbar choose Add mode and then connect necessary devices with left-click;
  • check Use middle button on map in the Options box in General section. Now you can add liaisons by pressing and holding middle button on the mouse; Important note! The mode Add is no longer available (by default Arrow);
  • click the existing liaison and scroll into new position. New node will be created and base line will become the broken one.

To delete liaison use shortcut menu (option Remove), being selected the liaison changes its color into blue:

Using toolbar you can:

  • by pressing Back button go to group representation level;
  • choose mode Arrow or Add (see above);
  • display grid (Grid button);
  • set alignment by grid (Align button);
  • add the devices of different types from the Objects section.

Linear dimensions of the map are entered into the fields Map width and Map height in pixels in the Options box.
To Add new device or to display properties of the existing one you can use both main menu and shortcut menu. Double-clicking on the device can open the window of its properties.

Network map is synchronized by default with the Devices tree and if any device changes its status (in case of at least one of the device monitors changes its state), these changes will be displayed on the map.
