Main menu contains all possibilities of the program for quick access. Here is the structure of main menu in details:

File

  • Scan wizard: starts scan wizard, which helps to scan the network in convenient way.
  • Rescan computers: allows to repeatedly interrogate the selected computer or all computers for the current category or all categories.
  • Options: opens a window where all program settings can be customized.
  • Go to welcome screen: shows welcome screen immediately.
  • Exit: closes the program.

Edit

  • Edit selected computer: opens a window where special data such as last information update time can be seen and custom computer user data such as name, department, position, phone etc. can be entered. Also it is possible to define custom fields here, which names and values are set by user.
  • Add single computer: allows to start scanning of a single computer, specifying its network name or IP address.
  • Remove selected computer: removes the selected computer data both from network tree and disk.
  • Refresh computers tree: clears and reloads the computers tree once again.
  • Find computer: find a computer in the tree by name (full or partial) or IP address (searches only through currently visible data specified by tree view mode).

View

  • Expand all: expands all group nodes in the network tree.
  • Collapse all: collapses all group nodes in the network tree, except root node.
  • Sort from A to Z: sorts computer and group nodes inside each group by names according to alphabet from A to Z (correctly parsing names ending with numbers) or by IP address from lesser to greater.
  • Sort from Z to A: sorts computer and group nodes inside each group by names according to alphabet from Z to A (correctly parsing names ending with numbers) or by IP address from greater to lesser.
  • Hide category panel when not needed: if checked, category panel hides itself when mouse is not over it and appears when mouse passes to the right edge of the main window.
  • Enable multi-category view: if checked, allows to select more than one category with the help of checkmarks to view information from several categories together.
  • Language: allows to select a language for program interface and reports.
  • Visual themes: allows to select visual theme for the program appearance.

Tools

  • Scan this PC: immediately starts to scan the computer at which the program is currently launched.
  • Export standalone audit tool: allows to make a copy of a standalone audit tool, which is possible to use for scanning of computers which are not connected to LAN (or computers using Windows 9x or Windows XP Home Edition) and also for setup of domaing logon script scan.
  • Load data files from local folder: adds XML files that are manually put to program's data folder (e.g. results of standalone computers scan) to the network tree.
  • Load data files from network folder: scans XML files (e.g. results of domain logon script scan) that are located in specified shared folder and merges updated files and copies new files to program's data folder and then adds new files to the network tree.

Reports

  • Report builder: switches the program to report building mode and immediately makes a report for selected computer or group for selected category (if allowed by settings).
  • Full reports: allows to make several operations in one click - goes to report building mode, switches to full reporting mode and immediately makes a report for selected computer or group for the selected set of categories.
  • Brief reports: allows to make several operations in one click - goes to report building mode, switches to brief reporting mode and immediately makes a report for selected computer or group for the selected set of categories.
  • Special reports: goes to report building mode and generates the selected report. Reports which are in this menu cannot be generated in another way. This menu will be expanded by different statistical reports and reports which require other modes of information view than full or brief reports.

Help

  • Contents: opens user manual in CHM format.
  • Check for new version: makes a connection with developers web-site and checks the current program version. Reqires direct internet connection. If newer version is available, the program offers to start download (default download manager will be used).
  • Visit product homepage: opens the product web page in the default web-browser.
  • Register: opens a window allowing to enter registration name and key. After successful registration this point changes its name to "Upgrade license" and allows to enter another key if you have purchased a license for bigger number of nodes. After registration of worldwide license this point is removed.
  • About: opens a window containing program version information, name of registered user and license type (or information about unregistered version), copyright and useful links to our site.
